The Orient Pear is a hardy tree that grows rapidly. It is disease resistant, bears heavy and can tolerate a wide range of climates with a hardiness zone 4-9. Excellent for canning and eating fresh as well as for attracting wildlife such as deer, turkeys and songbirds. Orient pears produce late Summer/early Fall and will mature around 10'-20’ in height and prefers full sun. Tolerates wide range of soils, but prefers slightly acidic, deep, heavy well drained but moist soil type.
